About the showcase

TheatreGanza presents work developed by the Theatre School's Certificate and first-year Diploma students during the second term. The showcase gives students an opportunity to present developing artistic work before a public audience and demonstrate knowledge, skills and performance discipline developed through their training.

The event brings together students, lecturers, theatre practitioners, families and members of the public for two evenings of live performance celebrating student creativity and emerging Namibian theatre talent.

Theatre education in practice

The showcase recognises that theatre education extends beyond classroom instruction. Students also develop through preparing work for an audience, collaborating under production conditions, responding to technical requirements and accepting responsibility for the quality of a shared performance.

Through the two-night format, students gain practical experience in performance preparation, teamwork, time management, technical coordination, production discipline and audience engagement.
